JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for creating and managing all business analytics-related processes such as: documentation, project planning, development, testing, implementation, and reporting and working with business leaders to create policies and execute corporate initiatives in regards to organization, technology and strategic efforts.

The purpose of this position is responsibility for Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics services within an assigned client account to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. 

Participation as a member of the account management team to understand client facing requirements and priorities with key service delivery focus and partner with account leadership to identify technology focused solutions, especially those involving Business Intelligence and custom application solutions.
 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and optimization of account processes and standards including governing policies and continuous improvement of the process of delivering business analytics products.
  • Lead the partnership with the Account’s Service Lines to understand the data and analytics requirements
  • Lead and maintain the integrated development roadmap working with account management team to prioritize development efforts
  • Develop the data visualization and user experience guidelines to ensure the Business Analytics reports and dashboards are presented in a meaningful and accessible manner that allows the user to easily understand and interpret the data
  • Develop the Business Analytics performance measurement standard to track the ongoing adoption and use of the reports and dashboards
  • Interacts with clients, internal and external, acting as a liaison between business and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) technology
  • Direct execution of CMMS administrative activities to ensure aligned with account business processes
  • Partnering with Information Technology (IT) support to ensure the continuous enhancement and development of Business analytics tools and platforms.
  • Working with the business and other technology partners to discuss and understand the implications of digital & technology initiatives for their service lines
  • Development, enhancement, and optimization of Analytics Programs including business cases for investment.
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics strategies, programs, pilots, and implementations.
  • Tracking, documentation, and prioritization of requests for Analytic Support from Account’s Service Lines.
  • Responsibility for representation and promotion of BI Programs internally and externally.
  • Leads team in developing tools, dashboards, and processes to manage programs (Service Level Changes, Key Performance Indicator Reporting, Benchmarking, Data Governance, etc.)
  • Works closely with Account Teams and data originators to ensure data integrity and quality in BI output products.
  • Oversee development of low/no-code applications and robotic process automation
  • Govern utilization of cloud computing resource groups in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services; Responsible for controls and governance of technology platform as well as ownership of policies and procedures and audit engagements
  • Identify innovative technology (e.g. Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) that will bring business value to our client and integrate into data visualizations and applications

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in data manipulation and analytics by using agile methodology
  • Demonstrated experience working with large data sets and source systems and ideally across a broad portfolio of measures and sophisticated data modeling.
  • Strong data generation, audit and analysis skills, and advanced presentation skills.
  • Experience in understanding source system architecture – working with the IT team to make upgrades and changes and/or interface in 3rd party systems or tools.
  • Effective communications and presentation skills to both Client and CBRE teams
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively leading a team, including virtual teams working from locations across the Province (Ontario)
  • Strong talent development and mentoring skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence as opposed to authority. There is a requirement to effectively work with the delivery organization within the Client Account groups, business units, and the enterprise Support Teams.
  • Strong computer proficiency and specifically experience and high proficiency with sophisticated analytical tools/ systems.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 6 years of related experience and/or training, preferred five years of experience at the management level. Previous Project Management, Business Analytics and/or commercial real estate industry and/or related experience preferred. Advanced skills in financial modeling, planning, database management/business intelligence.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

Demonstrated comfort level and experience with C-level client stakeholders.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
