QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE  

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum four or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience.

The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years as a project manager during both design and construction of capital projects in excess of $50M.  

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES  

Licensure as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.

USGBC / LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C) Preferred

Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) Preferred

Massachusetts Certified Public Procurement Official (MCPPO) Certification for Owner’s Project Manager Preferred

First Aid / CPR / AED Certification Preferred

OSHA 10 Hour Certification / OSHA 30 Preferred



COMMUNICATION SKILLS  

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

 

Ideal candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to successfully manage the workflow and assignments as part of a larger capital projects team. Experience working successfully with clients and developing a high level of trust as a member of the project team is required.   Candidates shall have experience managing the project workflow utilizing electronic project management systems, such as Procore, eBuilder, Kahua or similar systems.



FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE  

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.


REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES  

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.

Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements. Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems. Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized.


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY  

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
