RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for ensuring the business makes better decisions through collection and usage of data. Ensures business data and analysis requirements are met by properly applying data concepts, including data structures, collection and cleansing, and structured and unstructured data analysis and reporting. Ability to collect, analyze, manipulate, and report on CBRE data.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. This includes working alongside a team of data engineers, business analysts and product managers to strengthen data integrity, enhance business processes, and improve program design through insightful analysis. You will also work closely with project teams to assess, define, and implement improved business processes. Over time, you’ll be expected to evolve your role to lead clients from simple, pre-existing business intelligence solutions to forward-looking “what’s next” capabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture

Perform extensive data profiling and analysis of workplace related data

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management

Reconcile data to ensure data quality and consistency in support of reports to the business

Explore existing data repositories to understand what data is available to avoid any duplication of tasks

Guide and educate users so they better understand their reporting needs now, and as they evolve over time

Develop custom reports and data visualization products including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Quality Check reports using large datasets to transform data into actionable insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases 
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets 
Ability to ETL using R 
Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop 
Experience with building dashboards Tableau Desktop 
Ability to independently gather and organize data and analysis assignments 
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information 
Proficient in data management 
Exceptional detail and organization skills 
BA or BS degree from accredited institution 
Degree in Technology, Information Systems or similar function from accredited institution (or relevant experience) 
Internship experience with data analysis 
Exceptional SQL skills 
Real estate related experience preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Experience with Microsoft BI stack (e.g., SSRS) a bonus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong analytical skills.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
