JOB SUMMARY

The Business partner is the leader of the Human Resources function for the Real Estate Investments business segment comprised of Trammell Crow Company, CBRE Global Investors, and Hana within CBRE. The main purpose of the Human Resource Business Partner role is to drive talent outcomes that will support the business strategies and promote and preserve a positive culture. This is done by ensuring that the business’ human capital is capably deployed to drive the delivery of client services and financial outcomes, that the pipeline (internal and external) is there for growth, that strategic workforce planning is done, and that all the Centers of Excellence are harnessed in an integrated manner to drive outcomes (like EEE, compliance, strong culture of inclusion, etc). As well as leading our approach and execution of M&A integrations, transitions and creating a progressive talent strategy for the business.

The Human Resource Business Partner sets the standard, tone and direction of the HR strategy and function within the segment. The Human Resource Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring that we instill a culture based on high-performance, fairness, teamwork, growth and people development to achieve our vision and targets. The Human Resource Business Partner is a leader who understands the demands of driving a talent lead business and can bring industry leading HR thinking across all areas of the HR discipline to advance the HR agenda.

The Human Resource Business Partner will be an innovative thinker, focused on creating and delivering a HR strategy that adds measurable value in key areas such as talent and development, learning and development, employee engagement, employer brand and HR practices and policies, all of which focus on delivering exceptional customer outcomes and positively impacting employee retention and engagement. These initiatives must play a key role in achieving CBRE’s vision of becoming a world-class employer and service provider and will be delivered in conjunction with regional/global business and global HR leaders and Centers of Excellence. Equally, the Human Resource Business Partner will be able to direct day-to-day tactical HR activities through pragmatic, ‘hands on’ approaches that are delivery focused.

The Human Resource Business Partner will be a visible and vocal leader, not afraid to be innovative or disruptive and an independent thinker, to achieve the best outcomes. The Human Resource Business Partner will be a role model that inspires leaders and the HR Function and sets the benchmark for HR expertise and delivery. At all times the Human Resource Business Partner will act with the highest amounts of integrity and professional standards. The Human Resource Business Partner will be the coach, challenger, partner and trusted adviser to the service line Leadership Team and a fully active participant in the Global HR Leadership Team.



Key Tasks:
Analytics/AI/MI

Use data and fact-based analysis to anticipate talent needs and provide insights to the business for competitive decision making


Culture
Create and deliver initiatives that preserve and develop the organisational and global culture

Constantly review and assess the culture of the organisation through active, vocal engagement with leaders and managers and take any steps necessary to maintain CBRE’s culture and RISE values


Employee Engagement and Experience
Lead the implementation and delivery of CBRE’s employee engagement survey process and own the associated action plans following the survey


Human Resources Function
Motivate and lead the global HR team and create a high-performance HR Team as a highly visible role model

Work with the Heads of HR and Center of Excellence Leaders to align on deliverables and provide outcomes that are determined by regional/global business and leadership requirements.

Attract, recruit and retain members of the HR Team and provide mentoring and career development

Deliver active and regular communication to ensure business requirements are understood throughout the HR organization to achieve progress towards shared goals

Actively foster a culture of ‘one team’ across the global network

Actively manage the Centers of Excellence so that they are aligned with regional and global requirements whilst always providing high quality products and services that are determined by business needs


HR Policies & Procedures
Work with business and HR leadership to deliver HR plans, programs and policies and have mechanisms in place to make sure they are implemented, observed, contemporary and effective across the region.

Co-ordinate with regional and global HR functions to ensure HR processes and services meet business needs in the business.

Ensure that the business is always compliant with internal policy requirements and external legal requirements and take all steps necessary to make sure this always remains the case.


Regulatory Procedures
Ensure compliance in line with AIFMD Compliance requirement as well as other regulatory requirements across the globe.


Leadership
Challenge current/ traditional ways of thinking and define innovative ways of working to best serve CBRE client and employee needs

Provide leadership and consulting support to senior management on HR policies and processes, policy development (in line with country practices) and strategic implementation in support of achieving Real Estate Investments objectives and business growth

Act as a senior level adviser on HR issues to senior management and HR leadership teams

Be a leader and a role model; act and manage the business with honesty and integrity, following the highest standards against the RISE values and complying with CBRE’s policies and regulations.

Provide insight and practices from outside of CBRE to stretch internal thinking/practices and advise internal users on current and future market capabilities.


Organizational Development

Play a key and advisory role in helping the organisation to sharpen its structure to respond to and support rapid growth, change in culture and product offering.


Recruitment and Talent Development
Actively lead the guidance and delivery of tools needed to attract and recruit high quality individuals that not only meet current resource requirements but also develop future talent pipelines

Partner with the business to focus relentlessly on furthering the journey to a more diverse workforce and inclusive environment

Deliver talent development programs that ensure a constant flow of new and existing talent within the organisation

Provide coaching, development and motivation to bring out the best in each team member and produce future leaders for CBRE.

Ensure the business has the resources and skills it needs to implement the business strategy and growth targets.

Pro-actively manage the talent pipeline to ensure we future proof the business to have the talent available to meet future growth and adapt to the changing environment

QUALIFICATIONS


Education

Bachelor’s Degree

MBA or relevant Master’s degree or equivalent business background


Skills

Superior written and verbal communication skills with strong oral presentation skills

Experience and knowledge of the real estate/ facilities management sector


Experience

Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR experience which includes multi-country talent environments across the Americas, EMEA and APAC

Deep experience in the business partner and employee relations functions of HR.

Experience of high-volume outsourcing business advantages

Successful experience of working in a corporate, large matrixed environment

Awareness of variations in employment regulations for the different regions and the ability to manage effectively within them as required

Able to operate in a fast paced and high-volume business with strong resilience and an ability to lead and manage change

Experience working with HR Shared Services Centers – ability to manage SLA’s and drive continuous improvements in the HR operating model
