The ability to provide oversight to team responsibilities and training is required:

  • Handle tape backup media and prepare for offsite storage if applicable.

  • Perform ad hoc requests as directed by on-site management.

  • Prepare and coordinate and receive incoming shipments. Compare packing lists with purchase details to ensure accurate make, model, and quantities are received. Receipt SRM. Train and provide oversight to improve services levels. Work with other locations to develop training materials.

  • Perform remote hands support e.g. power cycles, physical equipment and cabling inspections, swap out failed components, testing of copper and fiber cables, handle storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands. Train and provide oversight to improve services levels. Work with other locations to develop training materials. 

  • Perform hardware installations – rack / stack. Train and provide oversight to improve services levels. Work with other locations to develop training materials.

  • Perform cable installations (routing, terminating) and testing. Train and provide oversight to improve services levels. Work with other locations to develop training materials.

  • Perform hardware cabling troubleshooting. Train and provide oversight to improve services levels. Work with other locations to develop training materials.

  • Support Service Management processes by creating, updating, and closing associated tickets. Train and provide oversight to improve services levels by reviewing metrics and investigating anomalies. Work with other locations to develop training materials.

  • Support Power Maintenance Events (PME) – play an active role in managing the execution of the PME

  • Track and maintain adequate sparing levels. Train and provide oversight to improve services levels. Work with other locations to develop training materials and to identify and report trends.

  • Drive physical audits and ensure the Service Now and NLYTE database is updated and accurate. 

  • Collaborate and maintain business relationships in order to meet and exceed client expectations with respect to Business as Usual and project activities. 

  • Provide input to the budgeting process. Develop requirements and budgetary numbers for identified projects

  • Train, mentor, and suggest improvements / modifications to training programs. Proactively monitor and adjust training program as appropriate working with DC leadership.

  • Provide input into the staff hiring process.

  • Manage projects – BCS, space planning, power requirements, cabling requirements. Work with CSE staff, order cables, and related supplies, and raise web quotes.

  • Allocate job tasks to staff.

  • May maintain staff’s shift scheduling and approve timecards.

  • May carry out performance reviews.

  • Ensure staff performance is of the highest standards and meet service metrics.

  • Act as a point of escalation.

  • Order tools, cables, and cabinets

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four years experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of all applicable practices and techniques, laws, project controls and environmental regulations to include safety regulations.


Universal CFC certification required. Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.


Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have the ability to operate an EMS and CMMS system. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.


Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.


Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those who are affected by your work. This includes but is not limited to:
1. Complete all required and assigned HSE training at a satisfactory level,
2. Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE-related requirements at all times,
3. Participate in all HSE-related programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing and assessment, etc.
4. Report any conditions which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stop work if required.

As a Manager:
1. While adhering to all HSE requirements established for CBRE employees, supervisors and managers are additionally required to:
a. Provide sufficient distraction-free time for employees to complete all required HSE training & support the HSE training program implicitly,
b. Investigate and resolve (if possible) all reported unsafe conditions / acts and communicate results back to the affected stakeholders,
c. Support "stop work" authority when it is exercised in good faith,
d. Communicate any / all potential workplace hazards and workplace procedures.
