JOB SUMMARY

This role is an entry level Advisor position. The first 1-2 years will be spent engaged in a combination of training on our Affordable Housing business model and client engagement based on the experience level. The ideal candidate will have commercial real estate experience and some exposure or experience with Affordable Housing. Advisors develop business and client relationships, as well as negotiate the selling, and marketing of commercial real estate properties for clients.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the Affordable Housing segment and associated financials specific to Affordable Housing and the CBRE business model.
  • Secures new and expanded business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship building, and selling additional CBRE services to current client base.
  • Accompanies or facilitates prospective clients to property sites to discuss property features, leasing rates, and terms.
  • Reviews Letters of Intent submitted by client in order to prepare offer summaries for client.
  • Provide centralized knowledge of each property, and helping communicate that to other CBRE agents, internal deal teams, and while reviewing marketing material.
  • Maintains current knowledge of market conditions, property values, and legislation that may affect the real estate industry.
  • Drafts correspondence to existing and prospective clients. Gathers, prepares, and distributes marketing materials.
  • Engages in local business community, as well as industry and professional associations for the purpose of creating new contacts and generating new business.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date information in company databases.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May provide informal supervision to individual employees within a work unit and/or group but does not include hiring or firing. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

The hourly rate for this position is between $31-36 per hour

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.

 

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Real Estate Salesperson license.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

 

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

 

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
