The Americas Head of Analytics & Risk Measurement will be responsible for managing performance, portfolio analytics, data governance, and investment risk measurement within CBRE Global Investor’s Americas Direct Real Estate business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversight of the firm’s performance data at an asset, fund, and composite level

• Manage third party providers of performance data and implement structured reviews and sign-offs as data moves from providers to the business

• Compilation of statistics relevant to the firm’s investment strategies, including portfolio characteristics, risk statistics, and competitive analysis

• Manage performance attribution reporting & benchmarking analysis

• Implement structured reviews and sign-offs of data submissions to third-party index providers including NCREIF and MSCI

• Manage the creation of Portfolio Oversight Committee materials and the resulting Analytics follow-ups from these bi-annual meetings

• Assume a leadership role as primary Data Steward for the Americas Direct Real Estate business; contribute to global efforts to maintain a data dictionary and serve as an escalation point for data quality issues

• Collaborate with the Analytics teams globally to realize a competitive edge leveraging the power of our proprietary data

• Research and acquire new data sources for Analytics and to ultimately drive improved investment decision making

• Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure appropriate use of performance and analytics data within external communications; ensure the firm is abiding to all record keeping requirements for performance reporting

• Contribute to global reporting capturing performance, exposures, and other metrics

• Manage all requests for data from the firm’s various departments, including marketing and portfolio management; support the RFP team on formulating performance, investment risk, or attribution related responses

• Oversee the firm’s GIPS® verification

• Develop and maintain policies and procedures around performance measurement, including composite construction and GIPS® compliance

General Qualifications Required

• Undergraduate degree in mathematics, economics, finance, business or related degree

• 5+ years of experience in investment performance or analytics focused position in the financial industry

• CIPM, CFA, or MBA a plus

• Expertise in the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®)

• Fundamental knowledge of real estate specific benchmarks and indices, including MSCI/IPD and NCREIF

• Experience with attribution methodologies and systems
• Experience with Data Governance principles

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, working knowledge of financial database structures, and outstanding data handling skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Acute attention to detail

• Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated ability to exchange complex information effectively

• Ability to work effectively across a matrixed organization
