Digital and Technology powered products play a vital role in CBRE’s mission to create unmatched value for our clients. The Product Manager will be a guiding force in defining these products and executing on them with engineering for a line of business. S/he is a key member in the Product Management team reporting to the Vice President, Products. The person must have a passion for developing digital and technology powered products that blend seamlessly with customer’s workflows and provide the right information at the right time. The individual must possess technical expertise, project management experience and a strong knowledge of the engineering, agile software development and support processes. Creativity is key requirement as many times the customer looks to CBRE to provide solutions to their problems. This position is strongly cross-functional in nature, requiring strong working relationships with multiple teams, including Data Analytics, User Experience, Marketing, Research, Engineering, and Operations. In addition to internal constituents, you will also work with real-estate brokers, customers, and partners to understand the market requirements and to support the business. The work is often quite consultative in nature, and therefore a strong problem-solving orientation is critical, and past professional services or consulting experience would be very valuable in this position.


  • Manage and improve the overall Product Management process
  • Deliver a complete product to the market (software, hardware, services, documentation, training)
  • Gather and analyze feedback from customer, real estate brokers, marketing, development, data scientists and analysts in addition to a good understanding of the real estate market
  • Lead our internal process to define the product strategy, roadmap and priorities
  • Serve as the customer representative in planning and requirements definition
  • Develop requirements documents and use cases for new product features
  • Owns the product backlog, facilitates discussions, and user story grooming
  • Monitor the status of development projects supporting new features
  • Conduct business-level verification and market testing of new features
  • Become an expert on competitive products in the marketplace
  • Provides regular updates and manages executive stakeholder communication and reporting
  • Be a go-to person and strategic leader for the product within the company
  • Perform product demonstrations and product technical presentations
  • Perform analysis for build/buy/partner decisions
  • Manage 3rd party technology product vendors and contracts






The individual must be highly entrepreneurial and a strategic thinker who can solve today issues as well as build processes for growth. The individual will need to be hands-on and work closely with all levels in the company, including senior management. The person needs to have:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field of work or equivalent work experience. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically has 10+ years of relevant work experience, including previous experience leading a project.




Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to manage multiple products and multiple product managers. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action.


Requires advanced and in depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Conducts advanced financial analysis. Translates high-level specifications for software components into program specifications. Estimates time against completing the program specifications.


Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations of significance to the operation.



Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to department and/or multiple products.
